As we wrap up Volunteer Appreciation Week, we wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to each and every person who donates their time and skills to FETCH a Cure’s mission! Without you, we couldn’t make such a difference in the community helping people and helping pets.

And on World Veterinary Day, we’d love to give a special shoutout to the veterinarians who selflessly serve on our Medical Advisory Board! They give their time and resources reviewing medical applications, performing free lumps and bumps exams, and providing care for our Pen Pals pups.

On Tuesday, Gigi, this year’s FETCH Fest spokesd

On Tuesday, Gigi, this year’s FETCH Fest spokesdog and adoptable Pen Pals pup, joined Executive Director, Joanne Silverman and head trainer, Kasey Herrera when they presented at the Virginia Department of Corrections Academy for Staff Development 2024 Counselor Conference in Goochland.

Joanne and Kasey presented the mission, history, and benefits of the Pixie’s Pen Pals program to over 100 program counselors from VADOC facilities across the commonwealth. Gigi tagged along to show off her skills and give lots of kisses!

FETCH plans to bring the program and its positive impacts to as many facilities as possible, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with program counselors who are advocates for the rehabilitation and recovery of incarcerated people.

In addition to our fundraising competition-for-a-cause, we’re incorporating a fun photo contest into the FETCH Fest mix! It’s easy to participate and another great way to get the word out about FETCH. Submit your favorite photo of your pet, then encourage family and friends to vote for your pet’s picture. It’s only $5 to enter and $1 per vote (link in bio to enter and vote)!

🥈Second Place Prize: Super Chewer Bark Box (a $45 value); each box contains two fun toys, two bags of natural treats, and one surprise item

Supper is served! This Thursday, April 25th, we're partnering with Oak & Apple BBQ, where 10% of dinner sales will go towards our programs, providing financial and emotional support for families whose pets have cancer.

Since introducing our Supper Club community outreach initiative, we've received a total of $3,443 in donations from our incredible restaurant partners. To put it in perspective, that amount covered the grants for cancer survivors Darla, Lucky, and Smooch!
