Statistics in dogs:

1)    Approximately 53 million dogs live in 32 percent of households in the U.S.

2)    Naturally occurring tumors in dogs develop twice as frequently as in man, have histopathologic features and a biologic behavior similar to tumors in man, and progress at a more rapid rate than in man.

3)    45% of pets older than 10 years of age die of cancer.
