Event Description: The featured speaker will be the SPCA's very own, Dr. Angela Ivey, and she will be speaking on the importance of spaying and neutering your dog, and how this relates to cancer. Feel free to bring a bagged lunch and FETCH will provide something to quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Month Long Awareness Initiative

Date:  Entire Month of November- Canine Cancer Awareness Month

Location: All Over Richmond!

Event Description:  FETCH a Cure is participating with local retailers, restaurants, dog grooming shops, veterinary offices to launch the first annual “See Spots”  Campaign. All of those participating will be donating a portion of all proceeds raised from a particular product or service to FETCH a cure for the entire month of November. Not only will this help to raise awareness for FETCH a cure, but for Canine Cancer Awareness month as well.  For more information and to see participating sponsors click here.

Three Dog Bakery Presents 2nd Annual Feast for the Beast Thanksgiving Dinner
Benefitting FETCH a Cure!!

To Satisfy all Hungry Hounds, the Feast for the Beast Four-Course Dinner Includes:

• Two Gimley's Gobblers'
• Two Say Cheese Tail Chasers' Cheese Biscuits
• Gracie's Slobber Gobbler Loaf
• Two Mini Sweet Potato Shar-Pie

PRICE: $15.95, with a portion of proceeds to benefit FETCH a Cure.

All Dinners are boxed-to-go, and include heating instructions! All Dinners must be pre-ordered and paid for in advance by Monday, November 24, 2008.

FETCH Night at Fleming's Steak House & Wine Bar

Event Description: FETCH A Cure and Fleming's Steak House & Wine Bar are coming together to help support the treatment & care of canines affected by senior aging & canine cancer in the Richmond area. Fleming's Wine On Wednesday is a night dedicated to helping local organizations raise money for their cause in a fun and social way. By coming to Fleming's on Wednesday November 19th and purchasing Fleming's wine by the glass or bottle you will be helping to support FETCH and our cause. 100% of proceeds from wine purchases between 5:30 p.m. & 12:00 a.m. will go directly to funding FETCH A Cure! Holiday Bone Tree

Date:  Entire Month of December

Event Description:  Paws for the Holiday! Take a break from all of the holiday hoopla to pick up a treat for your furry friend. Participating businesses will be supporting FETCH a cure and helping FETCH supporters to prepare for the holiday by housing a FETCH Holiday Bone Tree or dog house adorned with handmade dog bone treats. In order to participate in this year’s event, please consider including your business in FETCH’s efforts to raise awareness during the holiday season. After all, who else is a better recipient of a treat, then a much-loved canine companion? Please check back for further details. Toys for Furry Tots

Date:  Entire Month of December

Location:  Participating local merchants. Check back for the list participating locations.

Event Description: 

Toys for Furry Tots is a collection campaign benefiting animals in need of holiday cheer. Decorated doghouses will be placed around the city acting as drop off locations for pet toys and supplies. These gifts from the community will be delivered to area shelters and humane societies on Christmas Eve, helping to give homeless animals some happiness while in their shelter type environments. When you decide to sponsor a furry tot toy box you are fronting a mass effort to improve the lives of dogs all across Richmond. Please check back for further details. 2nd Annual Pups on Parade 2009!!

Date:  Through out 2008-2009

Event Description:  Inspired by Richmond’s highly successful Go Fish project of 2001, Pups on Parade 2009, is a fundraising project involving dog sculptures that are groomed and transformed into a works of art that become part of an outdoor art display that moves around town.

Woof! We need Artists! We would like to invite ARTISTS to join this fun filled campaign that will yield high exposure for your canine creations and leave a lasting mark on the greater Richmond area pet lovers, as well as the community at large.
